Location:

The Canning Stock Route is a track that runs from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia to Wiluna in the mid-west region. With a total distance of around 1,850 km (1,150 mi) it is claimed to be the longest historic stock route in the world. We will start at Billiluna (WA), heading south on CSR finishing at Wiluna (WA). Terrain: rocky dirt roads, corrugations, sandhills. Fuel for 1100 km plus contingency, self sufficient food & water for 21 days. No Towing, tents only. Trip Leaders: Steve Miller & Phil Custance. Convoy of 4 vehicles + leaders. Permits needed: 1. CSR $295, wells 5 to 51,  2. Parku IPA permits, Lake Gregory, Lake Stretch, Sturt Creek, camping at $30/night.  3. Gunbarrel-Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku Website $nil - 3 Day transit to get to NT Border, (4) Permit to travel through Aboriginal Land $ nil - WA Gov, (5) all above to be confirm
