Historical Vehicles

As a benefit for members, the Club is able to support early model Landcruisers being on the road through the Club Registration scheme. As a club we are keen to see these vehicles restored and preserved.

Historic Vehicle Registration (or Club Registration)

Significant changes were made to the Conditional Historic Vehicle Club Registration Scheme in July 2017. As a consequence of those changes the Toyota Landcruiser Club of Australia (SA) Inc. (TLCCSA) is now able to offer historic vehicle registration for its members.

It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to comply with all the conditions of historic registration.

What is Historic Registration

Historic Vehicle Registration is available for vehicles over 25 years of age as at 1st January in the year of manufacture, subject to some conditions. Historic registration is significantly cheaper than regular registration but restricts the use of the vehicle to a maximum of 90 days per year. There are also categories that cover left hand drive vehicles and street rods;however TLCCSA will only deal with historic vehicles over 25 years of age.

Qualifying For Registration

The primary focus of TLCCSA remains unchanged in that it is a club for members who have an interest in 4 wheel driving. The historic registration scheme is offered as an additional benefit for existing club members. As such a member can take advantage of the scheme from December 2018 when TLCCSA was admitted to the Scheme.
