Club Trips

Only club members may participate as drivers in club trips.

Members are encouraged to participate in Club Trips.

Members who book on trips must have completed any driver training the trip requires. Driver training courses are held throughout the year, to assist members to gain the knowledge and practical skills required to drive safely offroad.

Members can obtain trip leader contact details within each trip listing, or apply to join the trip by clicking on the link.

Trip Ratings

  • SCENIC: Bitumen & dirt roads, limited 4wding, lookouts, flora and fauna of the local area, other points of interest.
  • EASY: Mainly off bitumen on formed tracks, some 4wding, no steep inclines or declines.
  • MODERATE: Bush terrain, beach terrain, some inclines or side slopes, soft sand or mud areas, easy creek crossings.
  • HARD: Rough terrain, steep inclines, steep side slopes, rough creek crossings, possible towing and/or snatching.
  • DIFFICULT: Very rough terrain, very steep inclines, steep side slopes, slippery conditions, difficult creek crossings, some towing, snatching and or winching.

Tour of the Desalination Plant

The tour begins at the Kauwi Learning Centre with a short video presentation about the desalination process. Following this, we board a bus for a guided tour around the plant, which spans 32 hectares. If the plant is not running, we may have access to the inside of the process area. Please note that as this is an operational work site, a reasonable level of mobility is required. Unfortunately, walking aids cannot be accommodated for safety reasons. All attendees must wear closed shoes. There is parking on site.

Tour of Adelaide Oval

We will meet at the Southern Gate. Then a volunteer tour guide will take us behind the scenes of this iconic sports arena. We will explore the heritage scoreboard, hear about world renown bands which have performed there, and uncover some of the secrets of this beautiful oval. After our tour we have the opportunity to have an early lunch at the Koffee Ink Cafe which is situated near the Southern Gate Limited parking is available on War Memorial Drive at Council costs. The train station is an easy walk across the footbridge and brings you straight to the Southern Gate entry

Christmas Celebration at the Port Elliott Caravan Park

Our annual party to celebrate the end of the year and Christmas. We have the entire Caravan Park. You do not book at the park, just book via Trybooking. Yu pay for the dinner on booking on Trybooking and pay for the camping on check in. A great celebration dinner on Saturday night, fully catered with lots of selections of meats, salads, sweets etc. and a recovery breakfast cooked by the social committee on Sunday morning, all for the fabulous price of $40 per head.
