Location:
Meet at Porepunkah on the 15th before spending up to 6 days off grid, experiencing the harsh beauty of winter in the high country.
If weather permits, we will camp at altitude (>1,00m) on several occasions, possibly in snow. The trip will traverse a wide area from Bright to Dargo, Licola, Woods Point and Mansfield. If weather permits, we will navigate the back roads and tracks and you may experience driving on roads and tracks with a layer of snow on them. There will hopefully be quite a bit of snow above 1km, which we will experience across numerous mountain tops.

Details:
Meet at Bright Ski Hire at 2pm on the 15th Aug for a mandatory snow chain hire and test fitting lesson. It is a legal requirement to carry a minimum of 2 diamond pattern snow chains which for this trip, must be an offroad version.
On Sunday we will depart for up to 6 days off grid, travelling snow covered mountain tops, visiting historic towns and POI along the way.
The trip is heavily weather dependant. If weather permits, we will camp at altitude (>1,000m) on up to 3 occasions where overnight temperatures may drop to -5c, and some snowfall should be expected. If the weather is too miserable, we wil camp at lower altitudes and where available, possibly at caravan parks and/or pubs when near Dargo, Woods Point and Mansfield.
