August 15, 2026 - August 21, 2026Trip Summary:
The intention of the trip was to experience alpine driving during the winter months. We were expecting to do quite a bit of driving on snow covered roads. However El Nino had other ideas!
The weather ended up being like it generally is in the summer months. Warm and pleasant. So no snow driving unfortunately but still a great trip. Highlights included numerous mountain tops, camping at The Pinnacles and Billy Goats, Talbotville, Crooked River and the Buckland Valley.
